Electronic Recording is the process of recording documents via secure means that would otherwise be sent by overnight mail, regular mail, or courier to the County Assessor-Recorder’s Office for recordation. eRecording is currently accepted in nealry all of the 58 counties in California, with the exception of a handful of 8-12 counties.
To get started eRecording you can place an order for County Recording through our online portal at RunWithItServers.com . Once you place your order online, a confirmation with your order number will be sent to you via email. Please include the order confirmation page with the documents we are to eRecord for you.
When requesting an eRecording assignment we require an original document to submit your recording electronically. You can choose to mail or overnight deliver the original document(s) from your office location. If you have a question, call (209) 565-1180 and ask for E-Recording information.
How long does it take to record after submission to the Recorders? It varies from county to county. Some are completed within minutes; others may take days. If you are familiar with eFiling the beginning process is similar. We sumit the eRecording and then it sits in the que with the eRecordinf Clerk for approval. In many counties it will remaing in the que with them for just hours, but other may be days. It is important to note that the date of recording will be the date the clerk processes the documents, not the date we submit the recording to them. This is very different from the eFiling process you are acustom to. Upon completion, you will receive another email with a copy of your recorded document. You can also access your recorded document(s) at any time through the Run With It portal under your closed/completed orders.
